Stjepan Orešković

President of IEDC SB, Founder and Majority Shareholder of Bosqar Invest

Stjepan Orešković is an academic, entrepreneur, and strategist whose career fuses rigorous scientific inquiry with transformational corporate leadership. He began by developing methods for the global HIV epidemic surveillance—publishing in The Lancet and BMJ, directing the WHO Collaborating Centre for HIV Strategic Information, and training 2,600 professionals across 110 countries—before applying those same data-driven methods to business.
Orešković founded Bosqar Invest with his life partner Manica Pirc Orešković. A publicly listed company grew from a regional CX&IT services provider into a 22-country, 18,000-employee powerhouse. Through targeted M&A, AI-powered platforms, and new ventures in agri-food, e-commerce, HR and edtech, the group delivered a 62% CAGR between 2019 and 2024. Now, bringing together scientific rigor and entrepreneurial grit, he’s teamed up with the Atlantic Council to launch Future 500 at the 2025 Bled Strategic Forum—an initiative designed to spotlight Europe’s fastest-growing, impact-driven companies and ignite the next wave of sustainable innovation
